We are looking for dedicated and compassionate Healthcare Assistants who are passionate about their job, enjoy delivering one to one support and who can build positive relationships with our service users and their families.
Our service user is in his early 20s and has a neuromuscular condition that primarily affects his muscles that are used for moving and breathing.
He lives with his family in Stockport and has a fun and friendly personality, a great sense of humour and a very loving nature.
He likes watching TV, listening to music, playing on his iPad and enjoys other people's company; especially when they are singing and being silly!
He is fully dependent on his devoted parents and dedicated care team for all his needs.
He is unable to communicate verbally and does so via a specialised tablet. Therefore, it is essential that you are patient, understanding and able to encourage and promote his independence.
You will allow him to make his own choices and assist him to live the lifestyle he chooses, ensuring that his voice is heard.
You must be a genuine and kind person with proven experience of working with children and young people. Preferably, you will be skilled in interacting and engaging by way of singing, dancing, and having lots of fun!
We provide an extensive training programme for all his clinical needs which is led by our highly skilled Registered Nurses. They will ensure that the programme is conducted at your own pace whilst fully supporting and guiding you throughout the process.
Please note, training will be delivered during day hours, for which you must be available.
Applicants will be required to evidence previous experience of working waking night shifts.
Our service user has specifically requested for female staff to work on their team.
