Are you looking to expand your skills and enhance your career to include providing Complex Clinical Care or do you already have Complex Care experience?

Apollo Home Healthcare are seeking experienced Healthcare Assistants to support an young male with complex care needs.

We are looking for dedicated and compassionate Healthcare Assistants who are passionate about their job, enjoy delivering one to one support and who can build positive relationships with our service users and their families.

Our service user is an adult male who enjoys listening to music, dancing, reading stories and playing with sensory objects; his favourite are the ones that play music and make noise. He also loves to listen to Smooth and Gold radio.

He likes playing outdoors on his swing in the garden and enjoys taking part in activities, such as bowling, with his family and care team.

He uses British Sign Language and Makaton to communicate. It would be advantageous if you have previous experience with using this language however its not essential as you can learn in the role, he has an iPad which stores videos of signs to support learning for his carers.

It is important that his care team become familiar with his signs to identify his needs and promote his social interaction

The ideal applicant for this role will have a genuine passion and interest in working with young adults and will be happy to interact and engage in playtime activities.

Essential Experience Required

• 3 months previous care experience
• Medication Administration
• Personal Care
• Moving and Handling
• Driver's with access to a vehicle

Desirable Experience

• Learning Disabilities Knowledge
• Gastrostomy Care (PEG Feeding)
• Tracheostomy Care
• Ventilation Management
• Makaton, British Sign Language knowledge / awareness

We have the following shifts available;

• Part Time Days
• 10am – 10pm
• 10am – 5pm

Potential for ad-hoc night shifts available 10pm – 10am

Weekdays : £15.00 per hour(£168 approx. per shift)

Weeknights : £15.00 per hour(£180 approx. per shift)

Saturday : £16.00 per hour(£192 approx. per shift)

Sunday : £16.00 per hour (£192 approx. per shift)

Bank Holiday : £16.50 per hour(£198 approx. per shift)
