Are you looking to expand your skills and enhance your career to include providing Complex Clinical Care or do you already have Complex Care experience?
Apollo Home Healthcare is seeking experienced Healthcare Assistants to support a teenage boy with his complex care needs.
We are looking for dedicated and compassionate Healthcare Assistants who are passionate about their job, enjoy delivering support and who can build positive relationships with our service user and his family.
Our service user is a fun-loving teenage boy, who lives in a very friendly and loving household with his mother, father, and their pets.
He enjoys spending time with his family, playing in the garden, spending time on his iPad, and also getting out when possible, to the cinema or bowling.
You will be assisting his family at home, prior to school, with his morning routine and making sure he’s wearing suitable clothing, then accompany him to his educational setting and support him there throughout the day.
During the day you will be supporting with all social and personal needs as well as promoting development through play and learning. He needs full support with all his moving and handling but mobilises with an electronic wheelchair that he operates independently.
Our ideal applicant will be confident providing care within a school setting and would have awareness of respiratory conditions.
We are looking for someone who has had both their covid vaccinations and boosters for this position.
Our service user has specifically requested for female staff to work on their team.
Essential Requirements
- 3 months previous care experience
- Moving and Handling
- Medication Administration
- Personal Care
Desirable Experience
- Awareness of Respiratory Conditions
- Gastrostomy/ Enteral Feeding
We have the following shifts available
- Full Time / Part Time
- Days - 8am - 4pm
- 2 - 5 shifts per week
- Term Time only
