We have an amazing opportunity for an experienced Healthcare Assistant to join our Marie Curie team in Argyll and Bute. Job title: Healthcare Assistant Salary: Marie Curie Clinical Pay Scale, aligned with AFC BAND 2 £11.95 - £12.97 per hour plus enhancements depending on candidate experience Hours : As and When Contract Type: Permanent Location: Argyll and Bute Closing date : 24th November 2023 Interview date: Week commencing 4th December 2023 Do you want to give excellent individualized care? As a Healthcare Assistant you will deliver care and support to people with terminal illnesses whilst also offering vital emotional support for their families. With experience of End of Life care, you're ready and able to make a real difference. Ours is a one-to-one approach to care, so you're sure to enjoy plenty of meaningful contact with patients and their families - usually in their own homes. Working without close supervision, you'll have the opportunity to use your own initiative in line with the patient's established care plan. You'll be required to carry out a range of care duties including helping patients meet their hygiene needs, monitoring symptoms, assisting with medications and keeping detailed records and emotional support to the patient and their families. What we are looking for: Relevant community experience Continued access to NHS Pension Scheme (subject to eligibility) S/NVQ Level 2/3 qualification or an equivalent certificate/diploma is desirable Emotional strength and the ability to work on your own are crucial, though we will of course provide excellent on-going training and support.
