An exciting opportunity has arisen for an inspirational and motivated Health Care Assistant to join our dedicated teams on Acute Medical Unit (AMU) at Blackpool Teaching Hospitals.
The successful candidate will be supported by both our nursing and medical team and essential training for the role will be provided.
You must be able to communicate effectively with a wide range of healthcare professionals and be enthusiastic and passionate about delivery of high quality care. As a health care assistant within the team, your role will be assisting our patients with everyday tasks which involve maintaining a good oral intake, assisting with personal hygiene, and escorting patients to various procedures whilst also assisting both our medical and nursing teams deliver treatment.
The teams have patients which are referred from a variety of places with a variety of health conditions, these can be Respiratory, Gastroenterology, Endocrine, Infectious diseases, Stroke and Cardiology. The unit also gives opportunity to care for the older person with complex health conditions. Each team lends a fantastic place to learn and develop skills also to work alongside skilled health professionals who work within the multidisciplinary team.
