Job description

We are looking for caring and committed individuals to join our healthcare assistant team supporting the team at Abingdon Community Hospital, OSRU. The role will be 22.5hours per week but full time and part time hours can be considered. Shifts cover 7 days per week including early, late and night shifts. Full training and support available As a Healthcare Assistant, you will be instrumental in assisting the teams to meet the changing needs of the patients, provide personal care, assist in individual patient monitoring and be a patient advocate. Your commitment to providing excellent care at the place of the individual patient or ward need will demonstrate your patient focused approach. Working across wards in a range of shifts, 7 days a week, 24 hours a day, will develop your skills and knowledge in a variety of patient specialities and ensure that the role is very rewarding. We are looking for individuals who show warmth and support to our patients and their families; helping to promote independence, dignity and positively enhancing the lives of individuals in our care. Oxfordshire Stroke Rehabilitation Unit is a 20-bed inpatient unit based at Abingdon Community Hospital. We provide a short period of inpatient rehabilitation for people who have had a stroke, are registered with an Oxfordshire GP and are not able to be discharged directly home from hospital.
