Turner & Townsend is currently recruiting for all levels of Project Management to join our growing Health, Science and Social Care Teams to work on major fit out and development projects in both public and private sector organisations.
With a market leading client base and the opportunity to take the lead on immediate commissions, this is an exciting time to join the business unit and grow a career with Turner & Townsend.

What will you be doing?
- To lead or contribute to Project Management Commissions, taking responsibility for end to end service delivery, often with respect to large or complex projects.
- To act as the key lead or contribute to the day-to-day client interface, ensuring that client objectives are met and that projects are delivered to time and cost targets and the appropriate quality standards.
- Potentially advising at a strategic level at the project conception stage, including providing advice on the different approaches that can be adopted to successfully achieve the client’s overall objectives
- Leading or contributing to the establishment of the overall success criteria for the project, including time, cost, technical and performance parameters
- Planning for and working in the ongoing management of quality, safety, health, and environment issues
- Establishing effective project governance, processes, and systems to be utilised throughout project
- Project planning, including ensuring the production of the detailed project execution plan
- Advising upon the establishment and procurement of resources
- Leading and facilitating of multi-disciplinary project teams
- Monitoring and applying performance management techniques, including the use of KPI’s to improve project performance
- Managing the change control process
- Monitoring and advising upon project finances
- Managing the flow of project information between the team, stakeholders and the client, through regular meetings and written communications
- Ensuring the accurate/precise production of formal project progress and other reports
What skills are we looking for and why?
- Ideally Degree qualified in one of the following fields: Project management or Construction Management
- Ideally NEC accredited Project Manager
- Member of a chartered institute e.g., RICS or happy to work towards
- Good knowledge of construction industry themes such as MMC, Net Zero Carbon and Digital agenda
- Good knowledge of project lifecycle and business case approvals process
- Ideally experience of working on social care / healthcare projects
What experience are we looking for and why?
- Detailed knowledge of and experience in large scale public health and social care sectors (public and private) is desirable
- Experience of master planning/strategic estate development and capital project planning for business case compilation is desirable.
- Detailed experience of NEC contract administration is desirable
- Demonstrable experience in NHS client-facing roles at all levels (including Directors of Estates/Strategy and Planning/Capital Development to Trust stakeholders and service commissioners)
- The candidate will be required to demonstrate knowledge of the risks, challenges and opportunities facing public-sector healthcare bodies
