Introduction
The Houses of Parliament Health & Wellbeing Service supports Parliament in developing a healthy working environment and encouraging people to have a positive attitude to health at work. Its objectives are to help promote and maintain a high standard of physical and mental health for all persons working in the Houses of Parliament and to assist managers in reducing the risks to staff and visitors which may arise as a result of our work.
The Role
Working in the Health & Wellbeing Team you will be responsible for a range of key administrative tasks supporting the team to maintain an effective, efficient and quality service delivering exceptional customer service at all times. Your role in the team is primarily client facing, managing the reception area for the Parliamentary Health and Wellbeing Service, welcoming and greeting clients, answering questions and queries managing the appointment diary, sending out reports and ensuring our intranet pages are accurate and up to date. The role also involves participation in health and wellbeing events across the Estate and acting as Ambassador for health and wellbeing, promoting and signposting individuals to the services available within Parliament or delivered by our trusted partners.
Some of the responsibilities for this role include:
- Managing all enquiries to the PHWS reception via telephone, face-to-face or by email, promptly, effectively and efficiently providing excellent customer service throughout every interaction
- Diaries appointments for the doctor, nurse and counsellor clinics via the Cohort Occupational Health Management system (training provided as necessary) and Outlook
- Welcome, meet and greet clients who attend for appointments or meetings ensuring access or adjustments are supported where required
- Clinic Preparation to ensure the Nurses, Occupational Health Physician and Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner are supported in their individual specialist delivery
- Ensuring that medical records and other documentation are maintained effectively using appropriate systems and within GDPR and House Information Compliance Policies

To be successful in this role you will demonstrate:

- Communication skills – Excellent oral and written communication skills, a skilled listener with an open, engaging and approachable communication style
