The forensic inpatient service delivers safe, caring, high quality services in a low secure environment.
The forensic service offers a Trauma Informed Clinical Model. We utilise a Clinical Supervision model which supports consistent trauma informed practice.
We are looking for health support workers with experience of working in mental health or learning disability services. This exciting role will require a caring and compassionate individual who is committed to high quality service user focused care. The post suits an individual who works well as part of a team and is open minded to new ways of working. You would join a dedicated and hardworking multi-disciplinary team who are eager to make a difference through providing an integrated service that delivers on assessment, treatment and recovery.
We’ve developed a great new induction programme and a training strategy for the service, you will be offered training in physical health interventions and will have the opportunity to be involved in talking therapies.
We are looking for individuals who value team working, someone who is comfortable to share their views and ideas. Involvement of Service Users and Carers are an essential component of our service delivery, we are constantly looking for creative ways to ensure the views of service users and carers are embedded, not only in care delivery but service development.
You will be supported in your induction, through ongoing supervision and will have the opportunity to develop personally and professionally. As a service and a wider organisation we are passionate about supporting our Health Support Workers to access apprenticeship courses.

- Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team, and to have a good understanding of individual’s roles within the team
