Role Summary
To support business performance and compliance, we are recruiting ambitious innovative Health & Safety Practitioner to join our dedicated and inspirational team.
As Health & Safety Practitioner your duties are of paramount importance. You will be the driving force at the forefront in the development, performance and maintenance of the health and safety activities & underpinning health and safety management action plans and operational programmes.
You will be responsible in providing health and safety focus to the company and working from within the operations teams to develop the company’s health and safety systems and bring improvement to H&S culture & change management. You will drive compliance by providing administrative support, overseeing H&S assurance/audit programmes, providing onsite assessment & training, and leading the development of policies and procedures.
Skills/Experience/Qualifications
- A degree is not essential for this role, however, evidence of related field qualifications and/or proven track record. (i.e. NEBOSH Diploma, or equivalent).
- Health and Safety experience within construction, manufacturing, and engineering.
- A professional approachable personality that translates well across all communication methods.
- A people centric person who has the ability to quickly build & develop a professional rapport with all stakeholders.
- Written and verbal communication skills for communicating with a range of both internal and external stakeholders, as well as presentation skills.
- Competency in Microsoft applications & project management systems.
- Project management and organisational skills.
- Drive and enthusiasm with the ability train, assess, and promote a positive health and safety culture.
- Dynamic thinking and problem-solving abilities with the ability to think strategically using initiative and confidence.
- A flexible approach to work with the ability to adapt to a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
- Continuous improvement mind set which will be evidenced in the improvement of workplace health & safety culture.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team or individually unsupervised and deliver quality work across multiple tasks within required deadlines.
