Working Hours, Pay & Location:
12 hours per day, Monday to Friday between 0600-1800hrs.
Wage dependant on experience and company vehicle provided.
Main depots are Brentwood, Essex and Essendon, Hertfordshire – travel will be needed between both depots and areas.
Role Purpose:
Reporting to the Managing Director, the main duties are to advise on and implement the CLC SHEQ Assurance and Operational Management processes and procedures.
To Monitor the MORR (Management of Occupational Road Risk) including induction, vehicle roadworthiness, defect reporting and driver competence.
Lead the auditing of SHEQ and business processes to ensure compliance with applicable Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality management systems requirements in addition to those required by legislation or Client. Hosting (3rd Party) external audits.
Responsibilities:
Leading SHEQ Training – Induction - Vehicle Roadworthiness Checks - Defect Reporting.
Supporting the recruitment process and deliver sections within the CLC Induction.
Advising MD on continual improvement by improving fuel economy, reduction in accident damage and compliance with road traffic regulations through training and TBTs.
Conducting SHEQ site audits/inspections to monitor performance and compare the site & management systems integration.
To monitor the testing and calibration of safety equipment. Managing the register
Maintaining the training matrix including evaluating business training needs, coordinating training, updating records, planning refresher training.
Lead with the recording and investigation of Incidents.
Responsible for ‘Approved Supplier’ assessing and monitoring.
Coordination of the Supervisors (Agents) site inspections & Tool Box Talks and maintain records.
Maintaining the Compliments & Complaints Register and ensure actions are allocated to resolve issues.
Develop personal competence and liaise with external bodies and organisations to keep up to date with best practise.
Act as Line Manager for SHEQ Coordinator
Carry out any other duties appropriate to the post as agreed with the Board of Directors.

Skills/Knowledge/Attitude/Training/Experience (inc Qualifications):
NEBOSH General or Construction. NVQ Level 5 OHAS or NEBOSH Diploma (preferred).
IOSH Principal Designer & Design Risk Qualified
IOSH Behavioural Safety Qualified.
IOSH SHE Auditor
ISO 9001/14001 Transition & Implementation Certificate
ISO 45001 Migration Certificate.
Good understanding of ISO Management Systems.
Trainer/Instructor (EUSR, Manual Handling).
Working knowledge and application of Health and Safety in Utilities.
Working knowledge and understanding of Environmental Aspects & Impacts in Utilities.
Accident Investigator Trained
Good analytical and interpersonal skills.
Good Computer literacy.
Good PowerPoint Skills.
Excellent Presentation skills.
High personal standard showing drive and efficiency.
