You will be part of the NW&C Region which consist of three routes North West, Central and West Coast South and a regional team supporting Regional Major Programmes & Professional services.

Brief Description
What will you be doing?
The purpose of this role is to develop and delivery of health, safety and environment cultural change projects to agreed scope and timescales across the region. Promote positive cultural and behavioural change through coaching and delivering health, safety and environmental improvement projects across the region and in line with national standards and campaigns.
Please note we have 2 opportunities available - 1 permanent and 1 12 month FTC/ secondment. These roles can be based in Birmingham, Manchester or Milton Keynes.
Starting salary £34,050 raising to £38,305
About the role (External)
Some of your responsibilities will include:
1. Develop, lead and manage the implementation of the Regions Energy Strategy to achieve a reduction in energy usage, lowering costs and CO2 in accordance with NR targets.
2. Manage NR contracts and relationships with major utility suppliers and undertake internal and external stakeholder engagement to co-ordinate and contribute to negotiation of new contracts.
3. Responsible for the implementation of energy related processes within the team, to enable strict standards and governance around energy management services. Implement initiatives to improve and maintain good energy management behaviors.
4. Deliver health, safety and environment improvement projects across the region. Working across routes and departments to align on key regional deliverables.
5. Support the creation and delivery of the regional plan for coaching and development sessions for front line employees in line with specific safety and cultural safety change programmes and specific identified risk areas.
6. Support the creation and delivery of the regional plan for coaching and development sessions for all regional management teams in line with specific safety and cultural change programmes.
7. Create and develop a variety of coaching interventions to support front line staff throughout the region and specifically a programme of cultural and behavioural change initiatives for all aspects of health, safety & environment management.
8. Maintain agreed project plans for the implementation and cascade of national and regional safety and safety culture change campaigns across the region and manage the process to accurately record delivery of campaigns.
9. Support the day to day management of cross-functional working groups across the region in order to identify specific high-risk areas and key themes in health, safety and environment improvements.
10. Capture and share lessons learned from the delivery of safety improvement projects to support continuous improvement in project delivery.
11. Produce timely and appropriate management information relating to all safety improvement projects and provide regular project delivery updates.
In order to be successful in this role, we would like you to have/to be:
- NEBOSH certificate
- Coaching qualification
- Experience of delivering a safety or cultural change project
- Experience of coaching individuals or groups of people
- Ability to creatively communicate and engage with front line and management
- Knowledge and experience of accident and incident investigation processes
- General understanding of project management methodologies
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Ability to analyse and interpret data
- Ability to use Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) to provide management information
We would also like but it isnt crucial to have/to be:
- Relevant Project Management qualification
- Commercial and financial awareness.
- Knowledge of/experience in the UK rail industry
- Experience with Power BI

Network Rail adheres to a structured pay framework, any salary offered will be within the pay range advertised.
Salary: Band 4B, starting salary £34,050 raising to £38,305
