Position:
Are you an experienced Health & Safety Manager or Consultant, with a background in a manufacturing or industrial environment?
We are recruiting for a new contract role at Reaction Engines for someone with strong technical health, safety, and environment legislation knowledge, you can develop and implement strategic Health and Safety processes and systems. You will monitor compliance and ensure that all resources either internal or outsourced are used effectively to support the business and implement a safety culture across the business to cover manufacturing and administration areas.
Requirements:
To be successful you'll need:
- Degree qualified with NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent and membership of IOSH (CMIOSH)
- Proven experience in a similar role ideally within a manufacturing, pharmaceutical or industrial environment
- Excellent communication skills with proven experience engaging colleagues and a wide range of stakeholders.
- A strong technical knowledge across relevant health, safety, and environment legislation
- Experience of DSEAR, Electrical Safety, Fire, Vibration and Welding regulations.
- Exposure to CDM 2015 and implementing into organisations.
- COSHH Assessor
- Risk assessing and managing SSOW for equipment and works covered under PUWER, LOLER, Noise at Work, DSE, Safety at work, Pressure systems and compressed air regulations defined under HASAWA 1974.

Salary: circa £50,000 depending on experience
Working hours: Full time, Monday to Friday, 35 hours per week. Flexible working arrangements will be considered
