Port Skills and Safety is the UK's professional ports health, safety and skills membership organisation.
Our purpose is to encourage and promote continuous improvement in health and safety and to support a highly skilled workforce.
Our parent organisations, the British Ports Association and UK Major Ports Group, cover most of the UK commercial ports and we draw upon their networks and expertise. PSS is recognised by Government departments and agencies, including the Department for Transport, Health and Safety Executive and the Maritime and Coastguard Agency.

An exciting opportunity has arisen at PSS for a Health, Safety and Culture Lead, working within a small dynamic team reporting to the Chief Executive.
The successful candidate will liaise with member organisations to input to and promote continuous improvement in health & safety, and deliver PSS products, guidance and services as subject matter expert across the port sector.
This role requires excellent multi-channel communication skills, auditing capabilities, experience of working with Regulators, especially HSE, and the ability to build relationships, collaborate and influence whilst balancing competing interests.
Experience of working positively with trades unions, and workers at all levels is advantageous.
This is a high-profile role, ideal for Health & Safety professional seeking that new challenge.
The successful candidate should have a NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent recognised qualification in health and safety. Experience in safety training and behavioural safety in logistics sector would be advantageous.

Salary: £65,000.00 per year
