Salary - £28,000 - £30,000 depending on experience plus company car

Right now, we’re looking for a self-starter who enjoys working independently within a supportive team to join us as a Health & Safety Advisor. Working within a dynamic team of 3, you’ll engage our management teams within 112 retail stores in Scotland, Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland (ROI) to promote a positive health and safety culture.


Working from home with time out on the road visiting your stores, you’ll have the freedom to plan and organise your own work schedule with some flexibility on hours depending on business needs.


As part of this role, you’ll be responsible for:


  • Assisting in the roll out and communication of Health, Safety and Environmental procedures and guidance
  • Conducting Health and Safety team meetings across the retail estate to reduce high risks and engaging teams in health and safety
  • Investigating accidents and incidents to ensure all details are recorded, route cause established with remedial actions captured
  • Being a source of health and safety advice, providing support and assistance to project teams and store managers on health and safety matters
  • Participating in the delivery of a robust audit and inspection programme


You will need:


  • NEBOSH General Certificate or willing to work towards
  • Good understanding of UK Health & Safety legislation
  • Excellent communication skills (both verbally and written).
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Organised and self-sufficient.
  • Flexible and willing to travel at short notice to various locations within the UK & ROI when required.
  • Working towards NEBOSH Diploma qualifications, NEBOSH Fire and NEBOSH construction would be desirable
