We have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and experienced Manager to lead our team at a hotel site in Aberdeen.

The Role:

Contract - Full-time, Permanent
Hours - 40 hours per week
Salary - £28,000.00 - £30,000.00 per annum (DOE)
Schedule - 5 out of 7 days per week
Location - Souter Head Road, Aberdeen
Reports To - Regional Manager
Ideal Start Date - 01.06.2023

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage operations of the Club
  • Maximise income and minimise expenditure – ensuring maximum profitability, target reach and membership growth
  • Work closely with Regional Manager on marketing and sales growth
  • Recruit, support, develop and inspire staff in achieving objectives
  • Training & performance and development management - identifying growth potential
  • Oversee staff levels and scheduling within budgets and in line with business needs
  • Administration including payroll, budgets, rotas, audit response and reports
  • Promote a positive working environment whilst maintaining a high staff morale
  • Attend regular meetings with Support Team/Regional Manager and give feedback and input
  • Manage customer feedback effectively to ensure continuous service and programme improvement
  • Liaise with other hotel departments providing feedback and support wherever necessary - providing transparent and effective communication
  • General operational and managerial duties
  • Maintain the highest standards of service, presentation and professional advice offered to clients using the facility
  • Uphold presentation and cleanliness of the facility
  • Maintain a high level of knowledge, keeping abreast of new trends within the industry
  • Ensure facility health & safety, compliance, and client well-being

Skills, Qualifications and Experience:

  • Pool plant operator qualification (highly preferred)
  • Pool responder qualification (preferred)
  • First aid qualification (ideal)
  • Fitness qualification (preferred)
  • Strong management and leadership skills (experience essential!)
  • Engaging, motivating, confident and driven!
  • Willingness to develop others and self
  • Passion for fitness and leisure
  • Organisational skills

As a senior member of staff you are responsible for the safety and welfare of any staff under your direct control, and you must therefore have knowledge of the Company’s Health & Safety Policy as well as relevant legislation and instructions to your area of work. Any matter which you consider requires attention in this respect is your responsibility to report following the correct procedures, or to the Health and Safety Manager. Copies of the current Health & Safety Policy and Safety Procedures are available in the Centre.
