Health Care Worker- Full Time

Job Types: Full-time (39 Hours / Week), Permanent

Salary: £10.10 / Hour

An excellent opportunity to join a premium domiciliary care agency in Barking and Dagenham and Redbridge. We are looking to hire committed and compassionate Care Workers to join our team.

Previous experience is desirable however not essential as full training and ongoing support will be provided. We also invite applications from those with previous Care Assistant or Support Worker experience.

Here, we are an established business and believe in looking after both our customers and our Carers to the best of our ability. We have various positions for Care Workers to work full-time which includes early morning, late evening and weekend working.

Job Purpose -

_ The Care Worker will work within the multidisciplinary team to provided support for services within their assigned area._

_ The Care Worker has the awareness and ability to address the basic care needs of individual clients under the direction and supervision of healthcare professionals._

_ They support the multidisciplinary team in the delivery of high quality care. _

_ The Care Worker will assist registered staff in managing patients and their life supporting systems by undertaking a broad range of routine tasks associated with the care of these clients._

_ They will also manage basic preparation, cleaning and assembly of all equipment ready for use._

Our Carers visit the homes of elderly, disabled and other vulnerable adults to provide a range of care services which enable them to remain living independently in their own home as an alternative to residential care. We also supply staff to other healthcare sectors.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

· Engage in companionship

· Helping service users to move around

· Arrange appointments

· Accompany clients to appointments (medical or social)

· Monitoring service users and performing basic health checks

· Light housekeeping tasks

· Meal preparation and helping to feed

· Medication support

· Support with personal care including incontinence care in a way that is respectful and promotes individual needs and rights.

As a Care Worker you will need:

· A genuine desire to care for others;

· Reliable, compassionate, honest and patient;

· Available to work 39 hours per week

Note: The following applies to all colleagues:

You may be required to undertake other duties appropriate to your post and/or hours of work. Please note that at times you may be required to work with Covid -19 patients being discharged from hospital and are asymptomatic. However, prior notice will be given, and all staff will have access to appropriate PPE.
