A vacancy has arisen at the National Child Psychiatry Inpatient Unit based in Ward 4, Royal Hospital for Children for a Health Care Support Worker within Specialist Children's Services. This is a full -time post with a shift pattern of 24 hour rotation covering 7 days a week. The nursing team within the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) Inpatient Services provides recovery based care. The role requires the applicant to work as part of the MDT to implement care for young people experiencing mental health difficulties. This will include the role of Associate Nurse which supports the Staff Nurse (named nurse). The role also requires engaging in regular support of family/carers. There will also be a requirement to work in both community and home settings. This post requires PVG Scheme Membership/Disclosure Scotland Check. You will be expected to work between the Child Psychiatry Inpatient Unit and the Adolescent Psychiatry Inpatient Unit as needs arise.
