Established in 1988 as a privately run, personalised residential retirement home, Hector House offers residents complete comfort in attractively furnished twin or single bedrooms. Hector House provides accommodation for Local Authority or Privately funded individuals.

The right candidate for this position is passionate about helping others, has a desire to learn and apply new skills, and has a natural aptitude for assisting other. This position requires working collaboratively with healthcare professionals, pursuing ongoing formal education and training, and performing a variety of activities in a medical environment.
Responsibilities:
- Assist care team in daily activities.
- assists and enables service users to dress, undress, wash, use the toilet and bathe;
- serves meals to service users at table or in bed, and assists with feeding if required;
- generally assists with service users, overall comfort and well being;
- provides interest and activities to stimulate and engage the service user;
- helps with daily activities such as letter writing, paying bills, collecting benefits;
- undertakes light cleaning and domestic duties including meal preparation as required;
- monitors service users, conditions by taking temperature, pulse, respiration and weight, and contributes to record keeping;
- liaises with professional staff in carrying out care plans etc.
- Promote independence in patients.
- Assist with repositioning patients.
- Assist with personal hygiene, e.g.,
- Provide information and support to patients' families.
