An exciting opportunity has arisen for a health care support worker to join the Dunfermline District Nursing Team.
You must have excellent organisational skills, effective communication and interpersonal skills. Must be a team player and have a genuine interest in working in the community. Previous community experience would be an advantage as would phlebotomy skills. Patients are seen within own homes, and care homes in order to deliver excellent nursing care.
The main focus of the team is preventing unnecessary admission, supporting earliest possible discharge from hospital and enabling patients to remain as independent as possible in their homes. You will be required to support the effective District Nursing Team deliver excellent evidence based treatment and care to the practice population of house bound patients.
You will be required to have knowledge and experience to be able to support this role and an appropriate SVQ as desirable. Our service offers regular supervision and supports training opportunities.
The ability to travel throughout the area is essential.
