An exciting opportunity has arisen within the inpatient wards for an enthusiastic Health Care Support Worker, Band 3, to join our busy and motivated team on Brett Ward
Brett Ward's aim is to deliver a patient focused care that provides patients with an opportunity to better understand the crisis or behaviour that resulted in their admission and to learn coping skills to reduce the risk of relapse.
Our main aims are to:
Supporting the in-patients wards during psychiatric emergencies.
Promoting a safe environment of care that safeguards and protects patients and staff against undue risk.
Facilitating a positive role for patients where open communication and opportunities for learning and decision-making are promoted
Maintaining the patients right to spend no more time than clinically necessary in a locked environment.
Provide support and clinical assistance to the other hospitals within the trust.
Provide support and liaise with the community mental health teams and other allied professionals
As a Band 3, you will assist in the provision of outstanding recovery focused care as part of the nursing team and wider multi-disciplinary team.
Our expectation is that you will be a highly motivated and dynamic team member; who is able to demonstrate quality therapeutic interactions with service users who require good support for their high dependency and complex needs.
- To take an active role in direct service user care.
- Ensuring that a service user-centred multi-disciplinary approach to
- Record observations regarding assessment of need, including risk
- Ensuring that all practices are in accordance with Trust policies and
- Work in conjunction with other health care professionals to provide
- Promote anti-discriminatory practice.
- As an associate nurse attend your service users CPA meetings and
- Work within clinical performance objectives at all times.
- Knowledge of safeguard issues and reporting and escalating
