CUCKMERE -Gastroenterology Ward
Health Care Assistants - Band 2Full Time -37.5 hours per week – Internal Rotation

Reference:
Cuckmereis an acute 21 bedded Gastroenterology ward. Patients treated on the ward have a variety of Gastro needs. Such as Crohn's disease, alcoholic hepatitis, Eating Disorders, Mal absorption Disorders, Gastrointestinal bleeding, Gastric cancers and acute Liver diseases. It is also the cohort ward for the Trust for C difficile patients and we have a dedicated area to looking after Bariatric patients.

We are looking for experienced Health Care Assistants; hospital experience is desirable but not essential. A minimum of two years’ experience in health and social care is also desirable.

Successful applicants will be required to complete a two day long Induction course, which will include all the Trust statutory/Mandatory training to join our team inviting them to share their knowledge and experience with the ward; you will need to be well motivated and committed to high standards of patient care and personal professional development.

We will provide a supportive atmosphere, mentorship and clinical supervision on the ward and are committed to professional development of all staff. Team working is an integral part of this ward with all staff enabled and empowered to make a real difference for their patients.
