Restful Homes Group – Castlehill Specialist Care Centre is currently on the lookout for Night Healthcare Assistants at our beautiful home based in Brownhills.

Our Specialist Care Centre provides 84 spacious bedroom suites providing the highest quality of care to older residents of Walsall and the surrounding areas who require Residential, Nursing, Dementia and Specialist Dementia care with associated behaviours that challenge. We also cater for older people with enduring Mental Health needs.

As a Healthcare Assistant you need to be able to deliver high standards of personal care, contributing fully to the care team to ensure continuity of services to residents. Looking after the physical, emotional, cultural and social needs of the residents using a person-centred approach. To observe and promote the resident’s choice, independence, dignity and privacy. To create and maintain good professional relationships with residents, relatives and external professionals. To work as part of a team. All shifts are 8pm to 8am

Job Responsibilities -

· Provide support and encouragement resident’s in all areas / activities of daily living

· Ensure the respect, dignity and rights to privacy of resident’s as far as possible

· Contribute to the assessment of resident’s needs and the development of individualised plans

· Work with the care and support team to deliver high standards of care and service

· To prepare food and drink for the resident’s, being aware of the resident’s choice, likes/dislikes

· To use moving and handling equipment safely and correctly

· To maintain good communication and develop effective working relationships with resident’s

· To maintain detailed accurate records in respect of care

Requirements:

  • Current DBS on the online update service would be an advantage.
