We have exciting opportunities for a full-time position for Healthcare Assistants to join the MHLD team at the University Hospital Monklands.
As part of a multidisciplinary team, the post holder will carry out routine personal care duties for patients, in support of and supervised by, a registered nurse.
The post holder will carry out assigned duties to maintain hygiene, order and safety within the ward environment.
Duties may vary with the type of ward/department and the degree of patient dependency.
KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED TO DO THE JOB
Knowledge of personal care and related procedures or previous volunteer or work experience in health, education or social environment.
Required to undertake on-the-job training and induction
Undertake mandatory HCSW standards
Ability to work with people and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Ability to carry out assigned tasks effectively in a busy environment.
Working knowledge of basic information technology
