The Role:

This role requires 6 months relevant experience in the last 2 years in the care sector. As a Healthcare Assistant, you will be ready to provide optimal care in line with the company and established care standards; providing excellent care to meet service User choices and preferences with person centred care foundational to all care interventions.

Key Responsibilities of the Healthcare Assistant

- Providing Person Centred care to Service Users

- Assisting Service Users with limited mobility and Physical disabilities

- Care for Service Users who are temporarily sick and may need assistance with minor dressing, bed nursing, help with feeding, toileting, etc

- Promoting the mental, physical and emotional well being of service users through collaborative care with the service user choices and preferences central to all care interventions.

- Preparing and serving meals as well as assisting service users with eating and drinking when required.

Skills and Competencies:

- Relevant care experience with at least 6 months experience within the last 2 years with a willingness to undergo additional training and continual development.

- Hold a current DBS or willing to undertake an Enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) Check

- Hold an up to date Moving and Handling certificate

- Punctuality and Flexibility

- Caring and ability to show empathy

- Dependable: ability to accept a shift and follow through the shift till completion without late cancellations in consideration of the variable needs of Service users who are dependent on the care provided.

- Physical ability to meet the demands of the caring role.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skill and ability to apply knowledge and experience when required.
