Peacock Medicare Ltd are looking to recruit enthusiastic Care Assistants for day and night duty for their Nursing Home situated in West Lothian. Peacock Medicare have provided over 30 years of quality care in the West Lothian are to residents living with life limiting conditions such a stroke, dementia, diabetes etc., within a friendly cheerful environment.
Applicants should be dedicated to providing a quality service to older people thus enabling them to live as independently as possible within a Nursing Home setting. Management at all our Homes endeavour to provide as much support as possible to our employees so that they can in turn provide our residents with all their daily requirements. Duties involve assisting and involving residents with all aspects of physical and social care. An essential part of the work involves communicating with our older client group therefore excellent communication skills are essential.
We encourage all our carers to achieve an SVQ level II or III in Health and Social Care and support is given to all our employees to achieve this award. Our training is well recognised across West Lothian and employees that work with us are well regarded across the community.
Competitive rates of pay with additional payment available for overtime (conditions apply)
Successful applicants will be required to provide a Protection of Vulnerable Adults Certificate and references from a present/past employer. PVG certificate expense will be met by the Scottish Government.

All staff are requested to participate in the NHS Vaccination programme for Influenza and Covid-19. In the event of an outbreak of infection staff are asked to adhere to infection control measures. Training given.
