Willow Green Surgery was opened in East Preston in 1964 and cares for 11,000 patients and since 2003 Willow Green Surgery has been an accredited training practice.
We are a practice of 6 GPs, Advanced Nurse Practitioners, Practice Nurses, Healthcare Assistants, Pharmacist and other Allied Health Professionals all supported by our dedicated admin Team.
A vacancy has arisen for a Health Care Assistant to join our friendly Clinical Team to work closely with and support our GPs and Nursing team.
We are looking for an experienced HCA, who has preferably worked in general practice and are able to do the following duties. Some training will be given. Please note this list is not exhaustive.
Duties:
· BP Screening & 24 Hour BP Monitors / Weekly BP Monitors
· Phlebotomy
· NHS Health Checks
· ECG recording
· Ear irrigation
· Processing and management of laboratory samples requested by GPs/Nurses
· Chaperoning duties
· B12 injections, flu, pneumonia & Shingles
· Removal of sutures/ clips & dressing of wounds
· Doppler’s
· Part 1 of diabetes annual checks
· Assisting senior clinicians
· New patient health checks/LD Health Checks & Dementia checks
· Health promotion
· Smoking cessation clinics
· Monitoring fridge temperatures on a daily basis & data logging on a weekly basis
· To be responsible for changing sharp boxes
· Restocking and ordering clinical supplies
Job Type: Part-time
Part-time hours: 30 per week
Salary: From £11.00 per hour
