An exciting opportunity has arisen for progressive forward-thinking Health Care Assistants to join our newly established and enthusiastic team in the Urgent Treatment Centre based currently at the Royal London Hospital.
The IUPC service runs primarily from the Urgent Treatment Centre in Whitechapel that is based at the Royal London Hospital site. We provide a 24/7 Urgent Treatment Centre which is collocated to the Barts Health Emergency Department. Our service also provides clinical telephone support to patients that have been streamed to Urgent Care by NHS 111. We have good working relationships with the Royal London ED, the GP Out of Hours and the local GP Hubs.
The Urgent Treatment Centre sees approximately 280 patients per day for face-to-face appointments as well as providing advice and assessment to patients on the telephone via the NHS 111 service.This makes us one of the busiest in the country. We also provide out of hours GP cover. We are co-located to the Emergency Department of the acute trust where we have established close working relationships.
