Business Analyst
Northampton
As a Barclays Business Analyst, you will have an exciting chance to drive the development and delivery of key products across the bank’s client onboarding and financial crime operations, working within an agile transformation environment. You will be collaborating with stakeholders to analyse and document business requirements and shape end-to-end working practices, from product inception through delivery into post-launch support, as part of a new department.

What will you be doing?
- Being responsible for running workshops with key programme stakeholders to gather business requirements and document these in a standardised format using agile tools (e.g., JIRA)
- Leveraging standard methodology and templates to document clear and unambiguous requirements and business rules, in a structured format that is presentable
- Being responsible for applying core scenario, functional and data analysis skills to ensure requirements are complete with detailed acceptance criteria
- Using visual maps, prototypes, wireframes as much as possible to avoid misinterpretation of requirements throughout the end-to-end delivery process and across all stakeholders
- Undertaking detailed analysis and impact assessment of requirement, ensuring requirements are optimised and do not introduce additional operational overheads or workarounds
- Supporting Product Owner/Business SMEs by proactively identifying dependencies or risks that may impact quality or completeness of requirements
- Providing support to business, product owner, technology teams and business readiness throughout the E2E change process (inception through to delivery and post Go Live support)
- Collaborating with Product Owner to complete estimation and impacting assessment for new demand and change requests
What we’re looking for:
- Proven experience in core business analysis in agile projects (e.g., requirements elicitation & user story documentation, scenario analysis, functional/data analysis)
- Experience of execution in agile methodologies and innovative solutions from conception through to delivery into the business
- Analytical skills and problem solving mind set
- Stakeholder management skills, with the ability to communicate clearly, build and leverage relationships, and influence decision-making
Skills that will help you in the role:
- Previous experience across Client/Customer Onboarding or Financial Crime Operations
- Demonstrable awareness of regulatory and compliance landscape
- An understanding of the importance of prioritising and implementing Controls within end-to-end processes and technology delivery
- Previous experience in shaping working practices in an agile transformation environment

Northampton was the birthplace of Barclaycard in 1966 and we've been based in Pavilion Drive since the building opened in 1997. This state-of-the art energy efficient building holds up to 2,500 staff. The office location is perfect for travel from the midlands and London alike as we are based just off the A45, it is easily accessible by both car and bus routes.
