About the role:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated health care assistant to join our excellent team of nursing.
We are looking for an individual with great attention to detail and excellent team player skills to join the team and support the clinical service it provides
Job specification:
The job will involve daily routine nursing / theatre, phlebotomy and non-clinical duties and assistance in the nursing audit. You will undertake all routine HCA duties. Also, you will perform a range of administrative, and support activities that are critical to provide the best service to our patients.
You will also be required to work weekends on a rota basis.
Person specification:
The applicant should have at least 2 years of experience, with NCQ level 2/3 in HCA and phlebotomy with IT skills.
A caring person to with sympathy and care with communication skills to support the patient and give reassurance.
Knowledge/Skills/Experience:
- Experience in phlebotomy
- Scrub for procedure in theatre
- Willing to work towards the required skills/ knowledge
Qualifications:
- NVQ level 2/3 HCA or equivalent
- Phlebotomy
- Scrubbing for cases in theatre not essential but willing to be trained
- IT skills
