Job description
Please note that this is a part-time post and the salary for this position will be pro-rata.
As part of a multidisciplinary team, the post holder will carry out routine personal care/assist with routine examination duties for patients, in support of (and supervised by), a registered nurse/clinician. The post holder will ensure a person-centred approach to care delivery which is safe and effective to ensure and maintain quality strategy. The post holder will carry out assigned duties to maintain hygiene, order and safety within the ward/department environment. The post holder’s duties may vary with the type of ward/department and the degree of patient dependency.
The successful candidate must;
Have knowledge of personal care and related procedures or previous volunteer or work experience in a health, education or social environment.
Be required to undertake on the job training and induction
Undertake mandatory HCSW standards
Have the ability to work with people and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Evidence effective written and verbal communication skills
Be able to carry out assigned tasks effectively in a busy environment.
Have working knowledge of basic information technology.
