Weekly hours: 37
Weeks per year: 40 (47.8 paid weeks)
FTE Salary: Grade 3 Point 8 (fixed point) £20,190.77 (actual salary £ 18,559.98)

HSDC have an exciting opportunity for a Health Care Assistant to join our Health and Safeguarding department. You will have excellent communication skills, organisational skills and an empathetic nature to support our students with their health care needs.
The role will be focused on providing consistent medical and wellbeing support for students at the Alton Campus. The successful candidate will;
- Provide consistent first aid support for all students, especially for those with specific medical needs including mental health first aid support.
- Provide students with health care including supporting with therapies and personal care if required.
- Write medical health care plans and student personal emergency evacuation plans.
- Liaise closely with the college Health and Safeguarding Coordinator (RGN) on medical and safeguarding matters.

As a member of staff who works less than 52 weeks per year, your salary would be calculated on the reference period 01 September to 31 August and averaged out so that you receive equal monthly instalments. As you would be starting part way through the academic year an adjustment to your monthly salary would be required for the remainder of the academic year. From the beginning of the next academic year you will receive one twelfth of your annual salary per month.
