We are a 27 bed home within the picturesque village of Heighington on the outskirts of Lincoln. We are looking for caring and compassionate individuals to care for our residents in a respectful and dignified manner.
Healthcare Assistant
Job Summary
To work within a team of Care staff in identifying and endeavouring to meet the needs of each Resident in a way that respects their dignity and promotes their independence.
Key Tasks
To provide skilled, competent, and appropriate Care to individual Residents. This will include·
. To assist residents who need help with personal care, eating, dressing, bathing, and toileting etc where necessary as per their individual care requirements
· Medication: where Staff are permitted to administer Medication, this is carried out in accordance with the training provided only and the MARs paperwork to be completed in its entirety and no gaps to be left
· Staff are to act in a way that is purely in the interests of the Care Home and Residents
· Be empathetic to Residents needs and desires, behaving in a kind and calm manner, no raised voices or aggressive or foul language to be used within the Care Home
· To assist with drinks, food including breakfast for Residents as and when requested (as per their care planning), paying particular attention to allergies, nutritional needs, and dietary requirements and personal preferences
· To assist Residents with mobility problems and other physical disabilities including incontinence; help in use of care aids and personal equipment
· To respect the Home’s and Residents belongings and equipment
· Use the Home’s equipment in accordance with the set procedures
· To work together with other staff in maintaining standards in accordance with the Philosophy of Care of the home.
· To identify and discuss care needs with Residents and other staff.
To familiarise yourself and adhere to the Carers Code of Conduct, Care Standards, Essential Standards also any future or equivalent Care legislation; with the willingness to take on Social Care qualifications and training as and when necessitated.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 12 - 36 per week
Salary: From £9.70 per hour
