Job Title: Health and Safety Manager
Hours: Full Time 37 hours, Monday – Friday
Salary: £45k - £50k per annum DOE
Location: Taunton - (Travel to other sites will include Somerset, Wiltshire and Devon)

The Role
- To ensure that the company’s Health and safety policy is implemented consistently across the Group.
- To monitor, evaluate and review the Health and Safety policy and practice, make recommendation, and implement new policies and procedures as required.
- To assist in the identification of training needs for employees and develop training as required.
- To advise the Senior management of the implications of current and emerging Health and Safety legislation, making recommendation and generating action plans to ensure compliance.
- To support managers to maintain safe systems, providing specialist advise and support.
- To liaise with insurers and other representatives of external organisations
- To chair the Health and Safety and Emergency planning working group and participate in other groups as directed
About you
- You MUST be Grad IOSH OR CMIOSH
- Management experience, overseeing multiple sites
- Good understanding of Legal Health and Safety Guidelines
- Ability to produce action plans and policies
- Knowledge on Policies and risk assessments
- Good computer skills
- Able to work on your own initiative
- Motivated and driven
- Ability to prioritise workload and experience of working under pressure
- Good communication skills
