Leeds Federated is a housing association with around 4,300 properties across Leeds, Wakefield and North Yorkshire. Our mission is to enable the maximum number of people to access and live sustainably in good value, affordable housing.
We are seeking an individual to be Leeds Federated’s Competent Person in respect of Corporate Health and Safety matters and ensure that Leeds Federated are compliant with Health and Safety legislation, guidance, and policies. The Health and Safety Manager will take a proactive approach to develop, implement, and maintain our commitment to Health and Safety and Risk Management across the business.
You should demonstrate significant experience of working in a similar role within a construction/maintenance environment with experience of working for a Social Housing provider an advantage. You should have proven knowledge and expertise of undertaking work-based risk assessments, workstation environments, health and safety inspections and audits, with a working knowledge of H&S legislation and its application to the industry.
Key duties include:
- Leading and managing the delivery of Health and Safety for LFHA – Central Functions
- Leading and managing the delivery of Health and Safety for LFHA – Operational delivery and support
- Leading and managing the delivery of Health and Safety for LFHA Health and Safety Committee
