A fantastic opportunity has arisen for you to join the Health and Safety team at Oceanarium Bournemouth and Nickelodeon Adventure (Lakeside), based at Oceanarium Bournemouth (some travel will be required between the two sites)

They will also need excellent organisational, analytical and communication skills and you have the confidence to liaise with a wide range of people, including staff across all departments, senior managers, directors, and HQ. This will be a great opportunity for an individual with an interest in or some knowledge of Health and Safety and to progress and learn.

Main Duties and Responsibilities;

· To provide health and safety support to staff and others as necessary.

· Input and manage data entry onto company software reporting systems.

· To assist in the undertaking of risk assessments throughout the parks.

· To report and assist staff to report health & safety incidents on the company incident reporting tool.

· Assist, when necessary, with incident investigations and provide reports & updates as necessary.

· To assist with the undertaking of inspections/audits as necessary to ensure the workplace is deemed fit for purpose and to reduce the element of risk to all concerned.

· To play an active part in the parks Health and Safety Committee and any other Health and Safety Meetings.

· To undertake any other such duties as deemed appropriate by the Health and Safety Manager.

What do we need from you?

· Preferably hold a NEBOSH general certificate or equivalent or willing to work towards.

· Having a working knowledge of Microsoft office and the ability to input, analyse and present data accurately.

· Excellent communication and organisational skills.

· Ability to prioritise their own workload to ensure deadlines are met and work is of an appropriate standard.

· be values-driven, ambitious, enthusiastic and a self-motivating team player.

· Current driver's licence.

This role is full time permanent (40 hours per week, 5 days a week) and based at Oceanarium Bournemouth. The days will predominantly be Monday to Friday but there will be some occasional weekend working required
