Job description

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our HSEQ team as a H&S Administrator. The H&S Administrator will support and assist the HSEQ Team and H&S Manager to deliver an excellent service to multiple teams and comply with relevant legislation.

As an H&S Administrator you will be part of the HSEQ Team and working with our operational teams across the business. The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, proactive, and keen to learn, and will be supported to develop the skills required of a competent health and safety professional.

Main responsibilities

  • Managing the administration function within the HSEQ department, handle employee queries and support the HSEQ Department where required.
  • Always set a good personal example and promote a positive health and safety culture.
  • To provide support and assistance with the maintenance of the Company’s management systems in line ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and BS EN ISO 45001 accreditations.
  • Maintain records of any amendments to IMS documentation.
  • Support the development, implementation and monitoring of company health and safety policies, procedures, risk assessments and safe working practices.
  • To work with fellow colleagues to maintain and improve customer service to all clients.
  • To communicate with suppliers and subcontractors to keep them up to date with relevant health and safety information, any health and safety requirements and company information.
  • To maintain records of employee training, identify any future training requirements and arrange for any external training courses where required.
  • Assist and support Directors, Management and Supervision in the execution of their IMS Policy duties.
  • Provide support and assistance in relation to Health & Safety Plans, method statements and other CDM matters.
  • Distribute literature and other materials pertinent to safety, health, and environmental matters.
  • Encourage and review safety suggestions and recommendations from all employees.
  • Research and collate information to assist in performance information, general reporting and policy updates.
  • Administration of computer and database systems, including maintenance of records and preparation of documents for issue.
  • Any other duties which are deemed necessary by the Company and its associated policies.

Desired Qualifications

The Health and Safety Administrator shall hold a professional health and safety qualification at level 3 as a minimum i.e. NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent. Candidates with relevant administration experience but no qualification will be also considered.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: £18,000.00-£22,000.00 per year
