Job description
Purpose
To assist site teams in delivering safety objectives through audits and other processes. To evaluate the company is compliant to current and relevant legislation and customer requirements for Health & Safety
- To conduct reviews of all near misses, accidents for appropriateness of investigations and supporting teams in conducting investigations to the levels required appropriate to the risks of injury or legality.
- To log all accidents and near misses ensuring any corrective actions are logged and closed out in a timely manner.
- To validate through audits that site teams are driving health and safety standards to a new and improved level.
- To conduct the risk assessments (Once Trained) as directed by the HSE Manager and audit schedule, log all non-conformances and close out any actions with relevant teams
- To ensure that you use and follow the H&S and environment systems for capturing, logging, tracking and closing out non-conformances and they are delivering improvements.
- To conduct basic root cause analysis of accident, near miss and risk issues, and communicate to teams corrective actions required as a result with follow up and close out
- Completion of allocated audits in time in full with actions logged on the appropriate tracker system
- To raise H&S profile though H&S tours at least daily across the site, this will ensure a presence of H&S is maintained and employees can raise issues.
- To contribute to meetings with teams with an aim to achieve RIDDOR/Accident reduction within strategy targets
- To update and utilise tracking logs for all safety issues and chase Management teams to ensure they are fully addressed
- To report all major non-conformance to HSE Manager immediately for advice and next stage actions.
- Any other task allocated by HSE Manager.

Education:
- A-Level or equivalent (preferred)
Experience:
- Health and Safety role: 1 year (required)
- HSE Administration: 1 year (required)
