Overview
A Financially stable business and a well known brand are looking for a Head of Sales to come in and completely transform the Sales Department – your way.
A distribution management company that has been around since the 80’s offers express courier, mail and logistics services based in Slough are on the hunt for a Head of Sales. They provide distribution solutions that are personal, flexible and backed by their in-house software development team. We are after a people’s person, someone who loves to train, develop and recruit!
Please note we are after someone who has managed a NEW BUSINESS SALES TEAM & really understands how to grow a sales team through New Business plus the main focus which is: Recruiting for a whole new Sales Team! This will be a challenge, are you up for it?
What is the role and what are we expecting from the Sales Manager?
- Successfully recruiting new members of the team – So Important!
- Training, coaching and supporting team members
- Monitoring and driving activity
- Performance managing under-performing members of the team
- Working with the MD to develop the training resources
- Providing regular progress updates to the Board
What are we after from the Sales Manager?
- You will be dynamic Sales Manager
- Organised and structured
- Strong interpersonal skills to motivate and inspire the team to perform.
- It would be advantageous if you have Logistics/Supply Chain experience
- You could come from a Service lead background with a good understanding of the Sales process and Sales training
- Someone who can lead from the front in terms of selling
While you will not be targeted on your individual selling performance, experience of selling is a must in order to successfully train, coach and monitor members of the team and be the best Sales Manager you can be. You will be looking after accounts and over seeing them but you are not targeted on sales. You can earn from sales if you wish to do them!

- The business has over 105 members of staff
- Sales Compliance Manager will come under you
You must have managed a team in the past, expect to travel to the office during training but there will be flexibility and an opportunity to WFH. Offices are in Berkshire/Slough/Colnbrook/Heathrow.
