The Wolseley Hospitality Group's Head Office is located above The Wolseley on Piccadilly. It comprises The Director’s office alongside People, Talent & Culture, Finance, Purchasing, Marketing and Reservations.


Purpose of the role:

To efficiently oversee all aspects the reception at the Head Office, demonstrating excellent communication, organisation and flexibility. As the Head Office Receptionist, you be the first point of contact for the business, ensuring the highest levels of service to employees, visitors and suppliers coming to the office. To oversee internal communications management, contacts and distribution lists. To always ensure the highest standards of professionalism, cooperation and hospitality in keeping with the company culture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Meet and greet clients, visitors and employees, ensuring applicable members of the team are made aware of their arrival
  • Answer all incoming calls, routing calls to the appropriate department, taking and passing on relevant messages
  • Filtering sales and unwanted calls, forwarding them onto relevant enquiry email addresses
  • Oversee the reception area, ensuring it is kept clean and tidy at all times
  • Responsible for all incoming deliveries, informing appropriate departments as required
  • Book, and record daily, local and international courier packages
  • Responsible for outgoing mail for the building, maintaining a monthly postage report
  • Provide general administration support and correspondence as requested
  • Maintaining an understanding of the need of the businesses which the Head Office supports
  • Carrying out ad hoc tasks or projects as requested

What we’re looking for in a Head Office Receptionist:

  • Be highly organized, multitask and prioritise effectively
  • The ability to communicate confidently at all levels
  • A good command of spoken and written English
  • To have good knowledge of Word/Excel/Microsoft Outlook
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • To take initiative and responsibility when required
  • Be a good team player, well-presented and enthusiastic
  • Previous administrative experience would be beneficial
