Job description

Schedule - 30 working hours a week. Monday to Friday only, 9:30am to 4:00pm (no weekend working ever).

Salaried position starting at £25-28,000, equivalent to £16-£18 per hour. Moving to £35,000 after 1 year if we are happy you have taken on all requested responsibilities. We will also pay you an annual Christmas Bonus based on personal and company performance.

TEC Bike Parts is a family-run custom motorcycle parts business. We design and sell our own brand of parts and ship them globally. Our parts are fitted to modern classic motorcycles all over the world and used by some of the biggest and most exciting custom builders out there. If you already have knowledge of bike parts or even better our own brand of parts, this would be very helpful.

Working in a small team means your input really matters and you will get to know everyone in the business well. We have systems in place for how you will start work but we will expect you to make them your own and adapt them to your way of working. You will have full responsibility for our warehouse and packing area.

We try to be flexible where we can and offer a number of perks such a short hours, an extra day off for your birthday and the Christmas holiday period off every year.

We will offer full training for all aspects of the job but it would be preferred if you have some experience in; warehousing, order fulfilment, stock management or automotive parts (specifically motorcycles).

The job is perfect for someone who is highly organised and likes to work with their hands and be moving around. You must be able to stay motivated whilst working on your own for a significant part of the day - the positive side of this is you will not need to deal with customers. Once trained, you will prioritise your own day and work in the order you feel is best. As there is a variety of duties to the role, you will need to be flexible and adaptable.

Responsibilities -

You will be accountable for selecting, checking, packing and preparing customer orders for shipping.

You will be expected to proactively organise and tidy the warehouse/packing area.

Reading and error-checking order dispatch notes.

Setting up a stock control and location system.

Re-ordering smaller stock items and packaging.

Moving and loading boxes/pallets with a pallet truck.

Following all health and safety policies.

Communicate effectively with the office regarding order amendments or restocks.

Keeping a part-packing manual up-to-date with new parts when they are released.

Processing returned parts into usable and non-usable items.

Competencies -

Able to work quickly and accurately without supervision.

Attention to detail.

Using Stanley knives safely.

Able to prioritise orders depending on urgency or courier collection time frames.

Flexible team player.

Comfortable to take on accountability and responsibility for a medium-sized warehouse.

You will start on a 6 month trial then move on to a permanent contract if you competently fulfil the responsibilities of the role. After 1 year we will assess your progress, if you have taken full responsibility at this stage and require little oversight, we will move you to £35,000.
