Contracted hours: 37.5 hours per week

Are you looking to lead the visitor experience operations of one of the leading zoological societies in the world? Do you have in depth experience delivering exceptional visitor commercial operations and immersive visitor experiences?

Bristol Zoological Society are looking to recruit a Head of Visitor Experience to lead our Experience, Learning and Public Engagement teams as we develop our new home at the Wild Place Project.

As a global leader in conservation, projected through the work we deliver both in the field and Wild Place Project, the new Head of Visitor Experience will be one of the most significant experience leads in the country and as such we are looking for someone with a breadth of experience across commercial leisure development and visitor experience programming and learning.

You will lead a team of Visitor Experience, Commercial and Public Engagement Managers to deliver a world class immersive experience for our visitors, connecting them with our conservation work around the world while ensuring positive financial development for the society.

Successful applicants will have:

• Extensive operational and commercial leadership experience in a hospitality, visitor experience, retail or other leisure based customer facing organisation
• Experience developing public programme and immersive engagement experiences to attract footfall
• The ability to inspire, coach and develop multi-discipline teams
• A flexible can do approach
