Overview of the role
Are you an experienced video professional with experience of managing a team?
Incisive’s Head of Video works with our editorial, commercial content, and events teams to ensure that our ever-increasing video output is produced to the highest possible standards – on time, and in a demanding and fast-paced environment. This is an exciting role leading a fast-growing team which sits at the heart of our commercial and content strategy.
Incisive produces a wide variety of video styles and outputs, ranging from directing mini-documentaries and editorial piece-to-camera, to filming live events and interviews in our state-of-the-art in-house studio – even to motion graphics and producing commercials for our B2B client base.
Reporting into our commercial content team, Incisive Works, the Head of Video leads a multi-skilled team of three, each with their own area of specialisation. You need to be a leader, a mentor, and a buffer between the team and the business.
Technical skills
- Skilled videographer and editor
- Able to work in wide variety of settings from on-location filming to Studio
- Experience with graphics
- Experience with live events
- Able to deliver a quick turnaround between filming and editing
- A capable director able to work with and communicate with our on-screen talent
- Leadership and personal skills
- Able to manage, motivate and develop a team of three producer/editors with individual areas of expertise.
- Able to communicate with senior stakeholders
- Cope with an environment that is sometimes high pressure
- Have strong administration and scheduling skills
What we value
We’re looking for a candidate with a demonstrable track record of producing video in high-pressure environments, someone who can deliver high quality with fast turnaround. You don’t need to be an expert in every field of video, but you do need to possess a good working knowledge of different styles gained in production, first rate management skills, and be a capable administrator who can prioritise jobs, and juggle a very busy workload. You need to be comfortable dealing with senior managers from across the business, able to keep them in the loop – and your own team motivated.
