As part of the senior team of a new division this role will support the set up and management of inbound goods to the UK direct from supplier, customs/duties handling and domestic transport. The role will require a close relationship with country management as well as HQ in Germany.
What you can expect:
The Head of Transport and Customs will be responsible for strategic management and planning for transportation and customs activities including but not limited to:
Strategic
- Managing all freight budgeting
- Relationship management of supplier/factory/Broker
- Coordinating inbound goods and transport
- Managing contracts
- Steer, manage and rollout future relating projects
Inbound shipments
- Planning and coordinating with suppliers
- Modes of transports
- Coordination of transport
- Relationship management with freight forwarder
- SLA/KPI management
- Future transport tenders
Customs/Duties
- Customs regulation and compliance
- Broker relationship management
Domestic/last mile transport
- Planning and coordination with retail
- Coordination of transport
- Relationship management with freight forwarder
- SLA/KPI management
- Tenders
Your profile:
- Strong collaboration skills with both internal and external stakeholders
- Proven record of driving projects
- Experience in a management position in a Senior Transportation and/or Customs role within a freight forwarding or logistics environment
- Thrive in a fast pace environment
