Brief overview of the business area –

The ‘Transformation & Change Lead – Enterprise Infrastructure’ is responsible for providing leadership for Transformation & Change capability within CTO.

Reporting to the CTO Head of Enterprise Infrastructure the role will work to ensure world class technology solutions that enable business success by leading strategy and delivery for Transformation & Change platform.

Managing a direct team and budget of circa 30 resources, the role will support the outcomes of Vision ‘27 across Speed, Scale & Resilience whilst accelerating the build out and development of a world-class CTO capability that attracts, nurtures and retains talent. In this role you will be responsible for driving all of the transformation and keeping all of the many platforms up to date and dealing with activity issues and all defined programmes of works across the whole transformation area. This role will require very senior stakeholder management and pitching to COO level. You will be expected to set the development for this transformation project by fusing cross technologies of 27 programs which will define the business direction and where they want to be by 2027.

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Transformation and Change Lead to join our CTO organization at HSBC-

What you will be doing –

  • Execute all assigned programmes across Vision 27, Service Sustainability Portfolio (SSP) and CTB / Special Projects aligned to the banks standard framework (HCL)
  • Identify opportunities for transformation and lead cross-functional teams in implementing innovative solutions to improve business processes and customer experience.
  • Strong commercial awareness looking for ways to drive down RTB costs through automation, less TOIL and efficient use of Infrastructure.
  • Develop and implement change management plans to ensure successful adoption of new technology solutions across the organization.
  • Collaborate with business leaders and stakeholders to ensure that technology initiatives align with business priorities and objectives.
  • Build and maintain relationships with external partners and vendors to identify potential solutions and collaborate on transformation initiatives.
  • Develop metrics to track the success of transformation initiatives and report progress to senior leadership.
  • Mentor and lead a team of change management professionals to deliver successful transformation initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of the bank's technology landscape and identify areas for improvement and optimization.
  • Collaborate with other technology leaders within the organization to develop and implement technology standards, policies, and procedures
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external organizations, industry associations, and other relevant stakeholders to stay informed of industry trends and best practices.
  • Manage talent, playing a key role in performance management and compensation processes, role and competency definition, and diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives.
Requirements

What you will bring to the role.

To be successful in this role you should have proven experience within the Technology sector with knowledge of the following skills:

  • Proven experience as a Transformation & Change Platform Lead, ideally in an enterprise level organization.
  • Strong Infrastructure and cloud experience
  • Provide strategic direction, leadership, support, guidance and management of a global team 20+
  • Functional leadership of IT managers and ensure best practices for team management
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to analyse complex technical and business problems and develop effective solutions.
  • Able to manage a variety of senior stakeholder relationships and develop a trusting working relationship with them.
  • Established industry relationships with Executives at large technology vendors
  • Demonstrated experience of an Agile understanding with a particular focus on cloud & DevOps projects.
