We’re looking for an experienced leader to head up our Resourcing & Talent Acquisition teams in BBC Studios on a permanent basis.
This is a unique opportunity to lead the Resourcing & Talent Acquisition team across the whole of BBC Studios, a global business operation. The activities covered by the team are truly diverse, from recruiting new employees into our Marketing, Legal or Finance teams, to supporting our teams crew-up and engage freelancers for a new production format.

BBC Studios is a growing and thriving business, having delivered strong financial returns of £353m to the BBC Group in 2021/22:
- Sales were up 30% and profit (EBITA) up 50%
- Production revenues were up 56%
- Content sales were over £400 million
- UKTV’s profit was up 105% with a record share of commercial impacts
This role is accountable for developing and leading the Resourcing & Talent Acquisition vision and strategy to deliver world-class and diverse employees and off-screen freelance talent with the right capability in the right roles at the right time.
Leading, motivating and inspiring the Resourcing & Talent Acquisition team (a team of just under 40 people) to be best in class, the role holder will influence decisions at the top of the organisation to ensure BBC Studios and the broader BBC is considered a world class career destination at any point in an employee lifecycle. The team is also an industry leading pro-active search and outreach function for off-screen talent, finding, forming and maintaining relationships with existing as well as new and emerging creative talent.
This is a Global role, with scope of responsibility across the whole of BBC Studios. The role reports into the BBC Studios Global HR Director, with a dotted line into the Head of Talent Acquisition for BBC Public Services Group.
Are you the right candidate?To be successful in the role you’ll need experience of leading and delivering change and transformation in a global organisation. You’ll be able to demonstrate experience of developing and implementing a clear vision and strategy. To do this you’ll need to be able to navigate complexity, understand the bigger picture and achieve the buy-in from senior stakeholders – within both BBC Studios and the wider BBC. The ability to build positive and effective relationships, within and beyond the BBC, is a key requirement.
You’ll have a good understanding of others and be able to coach, energise and inspire high performance. You’ll embrace and be an advocate for diversity and inclusion. As a leader you’ll role model and be an ambassador for our BBC Values.
We’re a commercial organisation, so strong commercial acumen and the ability to interpret data and insight is essential.
Whilst a traditional background in recruitment and talent acquisition is desirable, we also welcome interest from broader people leaders who can demonstrate a strong understanding of recruitment.

Location: Any BBC hub – London, Cardiff, Bristol, Birmingham, Salford, Belfast, Newcastle, Glasgow. Hybrid working with regular travel to other sites.
