Position Description

Head of Sustainability
Location: Volvo Truck & Bus South & East, Enfield
Salary: up to £68,000 per annum depending on experience
Benefits: Bonus of up to 20% & Company Car

We have an exciting opportunity for a Head of Sustainability to join us at Volvo Trucks in the UK , this role is a key member of the South & East Sales Senior management team within the New Vehicle Sales Department.
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing our Sustainability strategy and will create robust business relationships with key conquest customers, providing excellent customer satisfaction through effective Key Account management, to maximise profitable sales growth within targeted sectors.
There will be a specific focus on the South & East VECTO target, supporting diesel specifications to reduce CO2, and ensuring all LNG and Electric sales ambitions are achieved. You will be a specialist in infrastructure requirements for alternative fuels.

Other Focus areas …
  • The successful candidate will become the subject matter expert on all sustainability matters, providing coaching and mentoring support to the South & East Sales team.
  • To develop local marketing activities to support the sales of products and services.
  • To be fully involved in the development of the Truck Sales Business Plan and Forecasting and follow up and deliver on the Plan and Forecast for strategic sales.
  • Price Management (margins and discounts) in line with Regional (SW) Policy.
  • Monitor, rationalize and ensure maximum efficiency in sales processes from the sale to delivery of the product.
  • Leadership driven by Volvo values. Motivating, developing and encouraging excellent performances to drive profitability and key step change in our drive to exceed sustainability targets.
  • Demonstrate the complete range of managerial responsibilities and utilise appropriate tools, working within CM guidelines.
