About The Role The Role – an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Head of Security at a prestigious large security operation with an estate situated at various locations around the Kensington and Chelsea area. The Location: the head office is The Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea Town Hall but travel to other sites in the area is expected. What we are paying: £55,000.00 per annum Benefits: Retail Discount Scheme, Free SIA Licence and Health & Wellbeing Support. The hours you shall be working will be Monday to Friday 08:00 – 18:00 flexible due to the nature of the operation What you shall be doing/responsible for The Head of Security will be the main point of contact for the RBKC contract, managing a large diverse team the Head of Security will oversee all aspects of the security operations, and develop, implement, and maintain policies and procedures to maintain security standards. The Head of Security must build solid working relationships with the Client, local authority, and emergency services. About You What skills and attributes we need from you! The successful candidate will need to demonstrate the following experience, skills, and behaviours necessary to meet the requirements of the role: Reviewing all aspects of the security operations, making recommendations, and improving teams’ performance and the security of the RBKC estate. Recruit, induct and train suitable staff ensuring compliance with vetting procedures. Maintain numbers of staff at the agreed levels to maintain contract standards. Monitor client satisfaction and service delivery on a monthly basis, through client meetings, monthly call log/complaints reports To deliver strategies to reduce staff turnover including induction programme, training, feedback, performance management, and personal coaching To continually review and drive the standards of the security operations Take the lead role in delivering a security culture with the RBKC Estate Advise the client in the areas of security best practices and industry developments Support on all aspects of business continuity and disaster recovery planning for the RBKC Estate Develop lone worker policy and procedure to safeguard all staff, contractors, and visitors working within RBKC’s estate. Take the security lead in the bi-monthly Corporate Safety Board (CSB), and present a security update (including incident reports/serious incidents/recommendations) to the CSB members. Develop and maintain a security risk register for the entire estate, put plans into place to mitigate risks, and communicate this at the bi-monthly CSB meeting. Introduce robust emergency planning and response policies and procedures, conduct regular training, and hold table top exercises and full-scale live drills.
