EA Technology is a global, independent provider of end-to-end power engineering solutions, supporting customers in managing and operating electrical networks. Based in Cheshire and employee-owned, we are recognised as a world-leading expert in our field, enabling our customers to manage their electricity networks more efficiently, with fewer failures and outages, greater safety and lower costs.
We are looking for a motivated and technically skilled professional to support us in owning the development and implementation of the sales strategy for products and data service in the EA_VisNet business to a range of clients in line with our ambitious growth plan. This portfolio includes large existing customers including GB based distribution network operators, as well as the expansion to targeted new geographies and sectors.
The Head of VisNet Sales will initially be responsible for the strategic development of existing client accounts, the client relationship and supporting the overall quality of service experienced as an EA Technology customer, in order to deliver significant and sustainable revenue growth.
Overview of Main Responsibilities
The role will initially report to the EA VisNet Product manager. In the future, it may report to the MD of the EA_VisNet business, subject to performance.
The role carries a direct sales target and key performance indicators including profitability, sales revenues, activity measurements and client satisfaction/value.
The position currently has no direct reports, but will be tasked with developing a small team, initially consisting of 1x Technical Sales and 1x OEM Sales, whilst interacting with the care EA Technology sales team for support services. Over time, the role is likely to expand to bring in more staff dedicated to the EA_VisNet propositions.

- External – Manage the customer strategy for all EA_VisNet customers (current and future)

Qualifications
- Educated to degree level or equivalent
- Business Qualification would be an advantage
- Ability to articulate the benefits and sell both products and data services
- Strong commercial acumen, with track record of delivery
- High level of technical written skills
- Excellent organisational skills to cope with multi-faceted problems
Special Aptitudes
Understand how to lead the commercial strategy of both data services (algorithms and APIs) and hardware products to drive improvements in sales revenues and service attachment rate.
The role will initially focus on our core customer base in the UK but could be expanded to new geographies/sectors subject to performance.
Salary - Up to £80,000 per annum OTE
