A rare opportunity is now available for a high performing Head of Sales to join Aimers Coffee & Tea.

Founded in 1884 in Dundee, the business is primarily a private label coffee and tea manufacturer. Aimers roast and blend for the out-of-home market. Customers are able to work closely with the business to produce their own private label unique blend from bean to brew.

The appointed individual will join the company leadership team and as such must have significant Sales and Marketing experience, preferably within an entrepreneurial environment, running own business or working within the food service / vending sectors.

You will have a proven track record of consistently meeting and exceeding personal and company sales targets. Be a dynamic, versatile, and natural leader with a strong business sense, who is able to develop and simultaneously manage multiple customer relationships with expectations to deliver a unique solution.

Your flexible approach will enable adaptation to a change of direction and momentum in a fast-paced environment with a calm, confident persona and the credibility and presence to represent the company at the highest level.

Understanding the impact of operational initiatives from a sales and marketing perspective is essential as is the proficiency of preparing reports, analysing data and making strategic recommendations based on data and trends.

Excellent listening, verbal, written, negotiating, and presentation skills will enable effective communication of information to influence stakeholders, whilst a process orientated attitude will allow you to achieve and exceed sales targets, provide consistent customer satisfaction and grow your own internal team in future.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve / exceed sales targets, expand the customer base and grow revenue.
  • Effectively communicate the value proposition through networking, social events, proposals and presentations.
  • Work cross functionally with management team to implement the forecasted and targeted sales strategy and identify marketing opportunities.
  • Be able to engage at all levels across all departments within the business.
  • Ensure the voice of the customer is heard and understood and communicated across the whole of the business
  • Identify risk to the business and pre-empt competitor risk.
  • Estimate sales volumes for existing and new customers, profit and margin by forecasting and developing annual sales quotas for existing and new products.
  • Understand the competitive landscape and market trends by implementing marketing strategies, analysing trends and results.
  • Prepare and present detailed and accurate sales reports.
  • Generate and maintain accurate account and opportunity plans and report monthly against original plans
  • Be able to demonstrate a clear understanding of margin, variation, product cost vs margin.
  • Develop the Sales and Marketing team as the business grows to provide the highest level of customer service, support and technical acumen.

Preferred Candidate

  • Significant Sales and Marketing experience.
  • Proven track record of consistently meeting and exceeding personal and company sales targets.
  • Strong relationship management experience, effective networker
  • Proficient at preparing reports, analysing data, and making strategic recommendations based on data and trends.
  • Flexible approach with the ability to work under pressure in a fast paced and changing environment.
